Jokes on Me
The jokes on me apparently this week. Joke #1, Minnie is so close to crawling. This can't be good considering my day to day chasing Anderson around to keep him from getting into everything. Which brings me to...
Joke #2. This is what happens when you climb on the counter and put your head on a really hot iron. This was after he fell face forward out of my cart at Target and I caught him in mid-air while holding Minnie (I even got some "nice catch" applause from the Target workers). And before he sat in my sister's cart at the store and dumped a carton of eggs and grabbed one and squeezed it in his hand till it broke. Is it ok to strip a 2 year old down in the middle of Fresh and Easy to change their pants? Just another typical day.

Cabin
I feel about as wasted as Minnie looks here. This is exactly how she woke up this morning. That mane is crazy. We went to the cabin this weekend in Nutrioso and it was so fun. It was cool, it rained, we got to take naps, and hang out with Grandma and Grandpa and Sammy (the dog).
This is probably my most favorite thing to do as a kid was go on jeep rides. I asked my Grandma and Grandpa to take us because they go to places where I am scared to drive. We basically went through the woods and literally drove over trees because the roads were torn up from the loggers.
Anderson LOVED to be outside. He chased Sammy so much that she went and hid in a bush to get some free time away. He fed the birds with my Grandma and loved going on rides and just walking in the woods.

I tried to get a cute picture of Minnie and the flowers but all she wanted to do was eat them, of course. The last few days she has been starting to get on her knees and hands. Today she started scooting and I am NOT ready. I want her to sit still and not be able to move. I just keep telling myself that she can't be as bad as Anderson who is still EVERYWHERE. I'm in for it I think.

Tim's Family Reunion
This weekend Tim's Family had a Reunion at a Resort in Phoenix, so we went out there Saturday for the day and swam and visited. It was SO hot and I was afraid Minnie was going to get burned, even though she was lathered in Sunblock, so we went inside for most of the afternoon. This was her first time ever getting in the pool, and as you can see, she was thrilled!
Anderson was more interested in "play grass" (playing in the grass) than the actual pool, so it was a struggle to keep him occupied. What's new.

4th of July Dress
This is what 2 year old boredom brings...that and flushing a raquetball down the toilet. Luckily my little fingers and hands were the perfect size for fishing it out.

Sorry for the blurry picture but I caught Tim cutting Minnie's nails like that. He wasn't kidding I don't think.
Ok, this is not my idea, I've seen it on a few random blogs but, it's a little girls dress from 2 bandanas and some ribbon. It takes like 5 minutes and if you can sew a straight line, you can do it. These bandanas were from Target in the bins where stuff is a dollar. I cut them a bit smaller or else it would be way too long for Minnie. Not bad for 2 bucks. It's cute for the 4th of July and very light weight so she won't die of heat exhaustion.

A well needed break!
This weekend, Tim and I stayed at the Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale for a well deserved break! Tim's mom was nice enough to watch Minnie and Andy while we were gone. Hopefully, she'll want to watch them again...we'll see. We went shopping and got Minnie a little doll. I know she'll reach an age where she will probably hate us for naming her Minnie (like Minnie Mouse). Minnie was my Great Grandma who I was very close to and lived until I was a senior in High School. I spent a lot of time with her and am really glad I could name my little girl after her. So for now, I'm embracing the Minnie Mouse connection. We'll see how long that lasts!
