Ok, Melissa tagged me. I'm suppossed to do 6 QUIRKY things about me.
1. I don't like anyone sitting behind me. Even when I was in school, I will sit in the corner so no one is behind me or to the left of me. I'm not crazy about it, but if I have a choice, I'll take that every time.
2. Anderson and I watch Sports Center every morning. That probably isn't a surprise, but I'm trying to train him young. We're not sure what side of the genes he'll get! (just kidding)
3. I never wear make-up. I did on my wedding day (Thanks to Marci and my sis-in-law). Actually, I think the first time I ever bought perfume I had to consult Melissa. The only make-up I own is what Marci got me for my b-day once. Are you trying to tell me something guys?
4. I have to have things even. When I wear a ring, it usually is in the middle finger (so it's even on my hand) until my wedding rings. If I wear something on one hand/arm, I have to balance on the other. I can't hang with non-symmetrical anything.
5. I am a closet wanna be Martha Stewart. I love to throw showers for people and sew. I tried to keep that on the DL for a long time, but I think my secret's out.
6. I am a sucker for match making. Those of you who hung out with me when single, I'm sure I tried to hook you up many a time. I had a few successes...you know who you are! Also a few too many failures...you know who you are also. Sorry.

Anderson's souvenier
I got this little puppy in Santee Alley in LA last weekend. Anderson just laughs at it. It's so funny. I knew Tim was going to kill me for getting the most annoying toy ever. It's supposed to walk, but it's injured...Anderson bit his leg.

Back from LA
We got back from our girls trip late last night. It was really fun. On Saturday night, we went to see Wicked at a theater on Hollywood Blvd. I had not listened to the music and didn't know much about it before hand, but I was surprised how that didn't matter. I really liked it a lot. It was easy to follow what was going on (I'm used to confusing ones like Les Mis which I would have no idea what is going on if I didn't know the story). I liked the story and it was very funny too. I guess I need to get the cd now.
This is where we spent the rest of our time. This is called Santee Alley and it's by the Fashion District in LA. We spent hours shopping for random do dads and fabric for my curtains. They have everything from fake Coach purses, to mini turtles for sale. It was all so cheap and sooo much stuff. It was fun! Doesn't it look beautiful??

Sorry for the delay in posting, but my camera just broke and I always feel like I need to put a picture. I think it's because I like when everyone else puts pics on. Anyway, I had a great picture of Anderson's crib. It's killing me. On the short sides, he seriously bites and knaws (not sure about spelling on that one) the wood off. It's all the way down the bar. The other sides have the plastic cover on them, but this one is getting ripped to shreds. Any suggestions? Just temporarily, we wrapped some fabric around it to cover it. We'll see how that works. It's been a busy week. Monday I went to a basketball game with my parents. Tuesday Tim and I went to play basketball with Tim's friends (yes a husband and wife team...which slowly became wife only). It was fun. Wednesday was busy during the day, then we went out for V-day last night. We just went to eat at Tia Rosas then Cold Stone and rented a movie. Who wants to pay $20 to go to the movies when it's something you aren't totally dying to see?? Tomorrow, my sisters, Grandma, Mom, and sis-in-law are driving to LA for the weekend for a "girls trip". We do them every so often. It's hard when everyone is having babies to plan them. We are going to see Wicked (which I haven't seen but heard it's good) and hang out...and probably EAT a lot! Hopefully someone can takes pictures and I'll have some for the trip!!

Why is it so hard to have a baby sit still for a picture? (Carson is chilling in the background by the way) I have to speak in church on Sunday. BOOOOO! I would rather do a lot of things than speak in church. Maybe we should have gone more than once since we've moved here (we've had good reasons I promise)!

Good Ideas
This is one of my favorite things in our new house. I stole the idea from my 2 sister-in-laws and I love it. This is my trash can. It's made of left over wood from my sister's house.
The piece on the left holds the trash bag in place. It fits over the trash can.
Then a lid goes on top, with a regular cabinet or drawer knob on top.

I love it because it is so big that I have to empty it only once a week, it hides the look of a trash can, and it looks nice. This is a picture of my dad's birthday present. He is turning 60 today and we got this idea from my cousin. She framed "100 reasons why we love Grandma" and gave it to her for Christmas. We did "60 things we love about Dad". The background is a red t-shirt we cut up and a Nike symbol we traced on cardstock. It is supposed to resemble a red nike t-shirt my mom had to throw out because my dad wore it so much. Each reason we just printed out on cardstock, cut in a strip, and glued it on. Then we just framed the whole thing. We like the way it turned out and it is a great gift idea for something like this.
